How to use this library

The pose library is forty-four shapes written as steps, mistakes, modifications, and safety notes. Filter chips narrow the list by level, by the part of the body the pose emphasizes, or by the family it belongs to, such as standing, seated, or restorative. A filtered address repeats a shorter slice of this same library. Those filtered addresses are marked so search engines keep the full library as the page to index.

Every card opens a page with the English name, the Sanskrit name, and a pronunciation. The steps are numbered. The mistakes are the errors we see when someone tries to look like a picture instead of following the setup. Modifications keep the idea of the pose when the full shape does not fit. Safety notes say when to skip it. None of that is a claim that the pose treats or cures a condition.

You can practice from the library without a filter and without a routine. If you want a sequence, the routines are built from these same pages, and each routine links back to the pose it uses. The drawings are original line figures, so the page is still readable when you are on the floor and the phone is an arm’s length away.

If you are pregnant, injured, or you have back pain, read the safety note and consult a doctor before you follow a pose. The medical disclaimer applies to every page in this library. Sharp pain, numbness, dizziness, or pain that runs down a leg is a reason to stop.
